Happy Holidays With Desert Highlands

December 2021

The holiday spirit has arrived at Desert Highlands and we’re in the full swing of the season. Read this month’s blog to hear about what’s been happening and discover what holly jolliness is still to come!

A Cornucopia of Thanksgiving Fun

The festivities were kicked off with Thanksgiving Week at Desert Highlands, a week’s worth of activities and events beginning the Sunday before Turkey Day.

We swung into the holidays with our Thanksgiving Golf Classic Sunday morning and rocked out into the evening with the latest in the Concert in the Park series. For the Fall installment, the musical guest was One of These Nights, an Eagles tribute band. Before the band started playing, attendees enjoyed dinner and a wine tastings, featuring over 60 wines! Dinner included a decadent array of gyros, Philly cheesesteaks, hotdogs, as well as both regular hamburgers & Beyond Burgers, with ice cream bars for dessert.

The fun continued on Tuesday with Yappy Hour at the dog park, where friends (both furry and not) mingled and socialized over drinks.

Thanksgiving Day itself saw folks begin the morning with our annual Turkey Trot, which was a huge success, followed by our Thanksgiving Brunch at Ventana, where residents enjoyed a plated dinner featuring delicious Thanksgiving flavors. Other residents hosting friends and family enjoyed our catered Thanksgiving feasts at home.

Talk about a lot to be thankful for!

Holidays on the Horizon
