Doug joined Desert Highlands as Director of Golf in 2004.  He has been a PGA Class A member since 1999 and is very involved in the local SWSPGA chapter where he has been a member of many committees as well as the 2001 and 2002 Tournament Chairman of The Arizona Open.  

Doug began golfing at age 7 and became an accomplished junior golfer, competing in numerous AJGA events.  Young Doug was individual state champion and two time team champion. He attended Purdue University and was a member of the University’s Golf Team from 1988 to 1992.  Prior to joining Desert Highlands, Doug served as Head Professional at Grayhawk Golf Club also in Scottsdale.
