Terra Waldron, CCM, Vice President/General Manager


Terra Waldron has more than 25 years of experience in the private club industry. Prior to her arrival at Desert Highlands in 2006, she served as GM/COO at Dataw Island in South Carolina, Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina; The Country Club of Charleston in South Carolina; Cedar Point Club in Suffolk, Virginia; and The Commonwealth Club in Richmond, Virginia.

Terra attained Certified Club Management status in 1991 and Certified Chief Executive in 2008 from the Club Manager’s Association of America (CMAA) and has been serving on the National Club Management Board of Directors since 2005. She is presently serving as Vice President for the Greater Southwest Chapter of CMAA and served as President in both the Carolinas and Virginias Chapters of CMAA.  The Club Managers Association of America is the professional association for managers of leading private country, city, yacht, athletic, military and fraternal clubs in the U.S. and abroad. This organization advances the profession of club management by fulfilling the educational and related needs of its members.  Terra also serves as the Secretary of the Cactus and Pine Foundation of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA).
